The recessed enclosure for 4 inch driver shall be Lowell model DX104-T, which shall be welded steel with black powder epoxy finish. It shall be lined with 1-1/2″ thick batting with a density rating of 1.5 lbs. to absorb undesirable resonance in the high frequency range. It shall have four combination (1/2″–3/4″) knockouts spaced at 90-degree intervals, and two flexible mounting straps at 180-degree intervals. It shall include receptacles to mount a torsion grille. The enclosure shall be made in the U.S.A. with certified U.S. steel.
