Steel speaker enclosure with extended grille mounting flange is made for recessed installation, ideally new construction where the flange can protect the opening from plaster, poured concrete or sheetrock. It can also be used in existing construction, suspended tile ceilings. The enclosure is designed to accommodate 8 inch drivers and screw-mount grilles.

The recessed enclosure for 8″ speakers shall be Lowell model CP84, which shall be welded unitized 22-gauge steel with black powder epoxy finish. Dimensions shall be 12″ diameter and 4.06″ depth. The enclosure shall feature an extended grille mounting flange, four combination knockouts (1/2″-3/4″) for conduit, four knockouts (1/2″) for wire, and a foam pad lining in the base. The enclosure shall be made in the U.S.A.
