Certified U.S. steel

The enclosure for recessed installation of an 8″ driver shall be Lowell Model 8XD4-S, which shall be fabricated of certified U.S. steel and have a white powder epoxy finish. It shall have a tapered 10″ can diameter and 4″ depth. It shall include a polyurethane foam disc that is UL Listed to meet flammability CAL-117 for resonance and vibration control. The enclosure shall also feature one knockout (1/2″) on top, four combination (1/2″–3/4″) side knockouts spaced at 90-degree intervals, and two flexible perforated mounting straps spaced at 180-degree interval.
